The Center for Health Security comes home.
By Jackie Powder
In a homecoming of sorts, the Center for Health Security (CHS), founded in 1998 by the late Bloomberg School Dean D.A. Henderson, rejoined the School in January after 14 years with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. CHS is a global leader in research, policy and evaluation aimed at protecting populations from a range of health security threats, including epidemics, antibiotic resistance, bioterrorism and other drivers of public health crises.
Center director and CEO Tom Inglesby, MD, says CHS and the School are a “perfect fit” to forge multidisciplinary collaborations to advance progress in tackling urgent health challenges.
